Where Do We Go From Here?

The current phase of the project ended in June 2002. In January 2002, ICSC hosted a regional workshop in Bacolod, The Philippines, which included representatives from each of the project sites, as well as representatives from other SWM projects, non–governmental organizations, and international donor agencies. The purpose of this final workshop was to share the lessons learned from SEALSWIP.

In addition to replicating the project in other cities, it is hoped that the successful model of multi–sectoral stakeholder committee could easily be applied to address other urban sustainability issues such as transportation and housing.
